21st Century school design

We would establish a Commission to examine ways schools can become more family-friendly and conducive to learning, this would include assessing the benefits of re-configuring the traditional three term year to make it more in tune with modern-day needs. It would also examine giving more flexibility to schools in the structure of the school day.

The Commission would also examine school designs and environments to make them more creative, personal, warmer, and welcoming, it would promote good ventilation, improved air quality, and a prioritisation of natural daylight, all of which significantly affect performance. It would also encourage varying class sizes with the aim of increasing collaborative work.
