We will strengthen the rights of Welsh speakers by working to extend Welsh Language Standards to UK Government bodies and agencies operating in Wales, and to the private sector, including communications, utilities, banks, car parks and supermarkets.
We will also strengthen Welsh Language Standards for public bodies and service providers, ensuring they go beyond compliance to promote the growth of the Welsh language, increase the number of speakers, and expand opportunities to use Welsh in everyday life across Wales.
