Everybody in Wales should have access to the arts and our rich cultural heritage, regardless of their background or where they live. In order to ensure that culture is accessible to all, we will:
- Maintain universal free access to our National Museums, and continue to support free entry for low-income families to both Eisteddfod yr Urdd and Eisteddfod Genedlaethol.
- Maintain current concessions and reduced-price access to our heritage sites, including for disabled people, young people, older visitors, veterans and Universal Credit claimants – working to expand free access across all Cadw sites and take our heritage into communities through outreach, touring and digital access.
- Renew cultural education and ensure that the teaching of Welsh history is being effectively delivered as core parts of the Curriculum for Wales, so that children are introduced to Wales's arts, culture and heritage from an early age.
- Continue support for the National Music Service, to ensure that musical opportunities are available to children and young people in Wales between the ages of 3-16 regardless of postcode or family income.
- Promote community and co-operative ownership to safeguard and create cultural spaces, sustain community hubs, and ensure their long-term viability – including through a Community Right to Buy.
