To protect and promote the safety of both staff and patients, we will work to address the current maintenance backlog in the NHS estate through a new Sustainable Health and Care Facilities investment programme. In particular, we will prioritise reducing the high-risk maintenance backlog and undertaking the most urgent repairs and upgrades.
