The NHS is nothing without its staff. We will ensure that they are valued and supported, and that this is reflected in the best possible conditions in NHS contracts. We will work to implement more flexible working and protected time for continuing professional development for nurses.
We will maintain the NHS Wales Bursary, and implement a long-term, comprehensive plan to support and grow our NHS workforce.
Our plan will focus on creating the right number and balance of education and training places for nurses, doctors and other health professionals – including widening access to professional qualifications through new routes, such as apprenticeships.
