Post Offices play a crucial part in the fabric of our communities, serving the local people and their closure means people struggle to access the services they currently provide.
We oppose the proposed closure of the Post Office on John Street in Merthyr Tydfil.
It would make it more difficult for residents to access post office services. If fewer people go to the town centre, it would have a potential knock-on effect - resulting in reduced trade for other shops and businesses based there. Merthyr Tydfil needs a Post Office and it's crucial this branch stays open.
