Tell us about yourself

I'm Grenville, I'm 43 and a married dad-of-three. I was born and bought up in Oxford and have lived in Brecon for the last 16 years. I work in renewable energy, and the best bit of my job is knowing that the energy systems I design and build are going to provide green electricity and long term income for local people for decades to come.

I wasn't always interested in politics but seeing the inaction on climate change and the lack of prospects for my children here in Mid Wales, encouraged me to put myself forward. Away from work, and aside from spending time with my family, I love drawing and testing my bushcraft skills in remote places - I once spent 47 consecutive days trekking through the Australian bush!

What is the most important thing you think the Senedd should do in the next five years?

The world is on the brink of a technological leap, one where green technology, local supply chains, nanotech and sustainability are going to be the foundation of everything else. But presently, we haven't got the infrastructure in place across Wales to deliver it. It's essential that we start putting in place the pieces needed to enable Wales to do stride confidently into the Green industrial revolution. the next five years are going to be vital, if we wait any longer we will be left behind.

What will you do for Brecon and Radnorshire if elected?

Firstly, it's essential that Brecon and Radnorshire start getting a fair share of funding from the Welsh Government, but we also need to build a vision for the place we want to be. I see the future of my constituency in being a hot bed of new agricultural approaches, tourism experiences and small green technology companies all helping to create a robust economy and really leading the way through the environmental crisis. To deliver this, we are going to need leadership.
