Tell us about yourself

My name is Nasir, I’m married with four children and I’m passionate about social justice, education for our children, and tackling the housing crisis.

I have been a civil servant for more than sixteen years working across different sectors covering housing and homelessness, community regeneration, youth work, and curating Black History - ensuring all voices are heard and seen.

I have also been a community activist for more than 20 years - fighting for justice in the housing and education sector and ensuring opportunities for our youth.

What is the most important thing you think the Senedd should do in the next five years?

Increase green energy and active travel, build genuine affordable housing, champion social equalities and create sustainable jobs.

What will you do for Cardiff South and Penarth if elected?

I will continue to do as I always have and that is to stand and fight for our community and ensure that grassroot issues are amplified in the Senedd.

I promise to ensure we:

  1. Develop affordable homes
  2. Ensure genuine social justice for our communities
  3. Invest and create more youth provisions
  4. Invest in Green Energy and Transportation
  5. Create green and sustainable jobs
