Ben Lake was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Ceredigion in 2017; he was re-elected in 2019, and in 2024 as MP for the new Ceredigion Preseli seat.
Ben has earned a reputation for being an energetic local campaigner since he was first elected back in 2017. He is willing to work across party lines to deliver for his constituency. He was named ‘Politician to Watch’ in ITV awards in 2017, and in 2019 he was nominated for MP of the Year.
He has fought continuously on behalf of the communities of Ceredigion and has made an impact locally and nationally by working with local groups and campaigning on their behalf in Westminster; securing funding for increases in teachers’ pensions, £55 million of investment for the Mid Wales Growth Deal, reversing Barclays’ cuts to rural banking, and securing investment in mobile non-spots.
