Ann Davies was elected MP for Caerfyrddin in 2024, having gained the seat from the Conservatives.
Ann was born and bred in Carmarthenshire, and has served as County Councillor for Llanddarog since 2017, and Cabinet Member for Rural Affairs, Community Cohesion and Planning Policy since 2021.
A former lecturer in early years learning at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and former peripatetic music teacher, Ann is the joint owner of a local children’s nursery and has farmed in the Llanarthne area since 1992. Ann has gained a reputation as a hardworking, approachable campaigner locally, serving as a county chair for a farming union, and as a prominent voice in the campaign against pylons along the Tywi Valley in Carmarthenshire.
