Liz Saville Roberts slams misplaced spending.

Plaid Cymru Westminster leader, Liz Saville Roberts said:

"Labour refuses to spend £1.8 billion a year to scrap the two-child limit, which would lift 300,000 children out of poverty, but is ready to commit to a bottomless pit of funding for replacing Trident, with estimates at £205 billion. Starmer’s skewed priorities are glaring.

"In 2016, David Lammy, now Shadow Foreign Secretary, said that ‘any form of international relations based on the threat of mutual destruction is totally contradictory to the preamble of Article 1 of the United Nations Charter’. Now that he tastes power, he has, along with several other frontbenchers, made a complete U-turn. Where are Labour’s principles?

"Spending unfathomable sums of public money on weapons that would destroy our world when a third of Welsh children live in poverty is indefensible. With Keir Starmer having blocked principled local Labour candidates to impose his allies, electing a strong group of Plaid Cymru MPs is crucial to holding them accountable and keeping them honest."
