Tell us about yourself

I’m a long serving Councillor in Caerffili serving the Penyrheol ward for 45 years. I was Leader of Caerffili County Borough Council from 1999 to 2004 and again from 2008 until 2011 when I secured a 5 year term of office as a regional assembly member.

What is the most important thing you think the Senedd should do in the next five years?

A former Housing manager, I am keen to ensure affordable housing is available to all. Brown field sites to be utilised first. My main concerns for the next Senedd are to concentrate on Mental Health following the pandemic.

What will you do for South Wales East if elected?

The Economy of Wales needs greater investment from the government.
