The Westminster Government’s Brexit plans strip us of our European Citizenship and, in many respects, our European identity.

It means your right to travel, live and work across Europe will be curtailed. It means your freedom to study and not be discriminated against based on nationality will be lost. It means that you are no longer European.

Stripping people of their citizenship against their will is not only wrong, but according to legal experts, illegal under international law.

How can Westminster take away your rights, against your will? How can Westminster remove your European identity? How can Westminster take away, against your will, the citizenship with which you were born?

Brexit’s disastrous economic consequences are apparent. But, now Westminster wants to take away who we are, how we define ourselves – our identity.

Will you join us in telling Westminster that we are European?

Also come and join us in Westminster on Wednesday 7 March at 11.00am, before PMQs, to demonstrate outside Parliament. Join the Facebook event here

Great idea: if enough of us opt for a European identity and passport, perhaps Brexiteers and BBC interviewers will stop saying ‘the British people voted for Brexit’ and acknowledge that 2/3 of those eligible to vote did NOT vote for it, let alone those without a vote (youngsters, overseas British subjects, EU citizens living and paying tax in UK for many years.) i.e. the decisions was not very democratic at all.

I believe passionately about being in the EU. This Government is wilfully denying reality and determined to make all the UK suffer in order to try to see their party.

Where will Welsh farmers be able to send their famous lamb to on the day after we leave? How will Pembroke Dock be able to convert to the barrier between the UK and Europe? How will the agricultural and tourist industries be able to function without valued workers coming from the EU – not to mention the NHS?

universal declaration in human rights Article 15 /preamble!

    1. Everyone has the right to a nationality.

    2. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality.

    Preamble

Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world,

Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people,

Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law,

Whereas it is essential to promote the development of friendly relations between nations,

Whereas the peoples of the United Nations have in the Charter reaffirmed their faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person and in the equal rights of men and women and have determined to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom,

Whereas Member States have pledged themselves to achieve, in cooperation with the United Nations, the promotion of universal respect for and observance of human rights and fundamental freedoms,

Whereas a common understanding of these rights and freedoms is of the greatest importance for the full realization of this pledge,

    Now, therefore,

    The General Assembly,

Proclaims this Universal Declaration of Human Rights as a common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations, to the end that every individual and every organ of society, keeping this Declaration constantly in mind, shall strive by

teaching and education to promote respect for these rights and freedoms and by progressive measures, national and international, to secure their universal and effective recognition and observance, both among the peoples of Member States themselves and among the peoples of territories under their jurisdiction.

I don’t want to lose the security and benefits of European citizenship. I didn’t vote for it, I wasn’t informed about it, I don’t want it stolen from me!
