The Westminster Government’s Brexit plans strip us of our European Citizenship and, in many respects, our European identity.

It means your right to travel, live and work across Europe will be curtailed. It means your freedom to study and not be discriminated against based on nationality will be lost. It means that you are no longer European.

Stripping people of their citizenship against their will is not only wrong, but according to legal experts, illegal under international law.

How can Westminster take away your rights, against your will? How can Westminster remove your European identity? How can Westminster take away, against your will, the citizenship with which you were born?

Brexit’s disastrous economic consequences are apparent. But, now Westminster wants to take away who we are, how we define ourselves – our identity.

Will you join us in telling Westminster that we are European?

Also come and join us in Westminster on Wednesday 7 March at 11.00am, before PMQs, to demonstrate outside Parliament. Join the Facebook event here

Though born in London, and of English nationality I consider myself to be a European citizen more than British. I wish to retain my European citizenship, and to hold a passport issued by the European Union. The Referendum on EU membership concerned a constitutional issue of great importance. To be legitimate that ought to require a consensus of 50% of the whole electorate plus one vote – and not be run as if it were a first-past-the-post election as happens when voting in General Elections for individual MP’s, where a minority of only 37% can take Britain out. Therefore, I consider the Referendum outcome as undemocratic and invalid. All 16 million people who voted to stay IN the EU should have the option to retain their EU citizenship. (Am not a member of Plaid, their email brought me here.)

EU citizenship is essential for me and my family. How dare anyone try to take it away, along with all the rights and privileges it confers.

Its a pity we weren’t given the true facts about leaving Europe when we voted. I am an European Citizen, wish to remain so and I want future generations to enjoy the same freedoms I have enjoyed most of my life, why should our children and grandchildren be denied this without getting a say on it, Now that the true picture is emerging about life outside of Europe and the true cost of leaving I really think the Country should be asked to vote on leaving again.

I disagree passionately with Brexit as I value my status as a European citizen. I feel that the British public were not given enough information on the consequences of either remaining or leaving Europe prior to the Referendum and consequently many were not in a position to make a properly informed choice

I voted to stay in Europe, seeing through dacades of Tory lies and their manipulation of immigration policies. Immigrants don’t take your jobs people, it is the Conservative Party. Educate yourselves and look at history from the time of the Irish potatoes famine when the Tories were forced to change their title. I Am a globalist who lives in Wales which, is part of Britain, part of Europe and is of this World. 😁

TTIP was stopped it became BREXIT. BREXIT is Trump and his sociopathic corporate cohorts who will asset strip and destroy Britain. This goes back to the Thatcher era when she actually sold UK the the FED and Greenspan and turned UK into a debt slave society. FACTS; I was the first to report on it and threatened !
